USED SKATES
For beginner skaters, buying used skates is also an option.
When looking for used skates, make sure to look for Riedell, Jackson or another high quality skate brand. Also check to make sure the skates are not too broken down. You want the ankle area to feel stiff and supportive.
I recommend going in person to:
Elevate Sporting Goods
- Tacoma
- Bellevue
Play It Again Sports
- Renton
- Seattle
- Lynnwood
- More across the Country
How to Care for Your Skates
1. Dry your skate blades with a small towel after each use
2. Store your skates with "soakers" on so they remain dry
3. Wear "guards" when walking around off the ice
4. Get skates sharpened after about every 30-40 hours of use
